Terms and Conditions of Toilet Hire
Please note: We CANNOT leave the hired product(s) without first having our Hire Agreement signed.
Hirer’s responsibility

The hirer is responsible for the safe custody of the company’s equipment from delivery until completion of contract.

The hirer should keep a padlock on the toilet while not in use during the hire period.

Spreading or mixing concrete/plaster or render next to the toilet is prohibited

Faults should be reported to bees knees marquees in writing or by phone
Permits
The hirer is responsible for giving notice to or obtaining permits from any authorities who are or may be concerned and must take application where necessary to the planning authority, district surveyor, police, fire brigade and any similar authority or organisation. Where appropriate obtain a licence from the local authority. If a licence is issued Bees Knees Marquees must be notified in writing of any requirements prior to the erection date.
Ownership of equipment
The equipment remains the sole property at all times of Bees Knees Marquees. The hirer is prohibited from parting possession with, from selling, abandoning or hiring out the equipment at all times.
Moving/removal of equipment
We require access for a 8’ wide delivery vehicle, to within 10’ of final location, The toilet(s) cannot be lifted or put on a crane as they are very heavy full. Once a position has been agreed with the driver the toilet must not be moved as this will cause problems upon collection, if the toilet (s)have been moved upon collection the hirer my incur an additional charge.
Cancellation/Return
The hirer may terminate the contract in writing at any time giving a minimum of 7 days notice.

Toilet Delivery and Removal
Bees Knees Marquees reserves the right to deliver and remove the equipment from the site at its convenience. The hire charges do not include any repairs or making good that may be required to the site before or after the event. Bees Knees Marquees also accepts no responsibility for damage to artificial grass caused by the toilet standing on it.
Payments
Payments should arrive on time, failure to send payments on time will result in hire termination. Monthly payments payable by cash, cheque or transfer.
Damage to equipment
The hirer agrees to pay the supplier the full replacement cost of any equipment, which is lost, stolen or damaged beyond economic repair and should insure the goods on this basis. All monies received by the hirer from an Insurance Company or from any other source in settlement of any claim relating to the loss, theft or damage of the equipment shall to the extent that any payment is due to the supplier under this condition to be held in trust by the hirer and be paid to the supplier on demand. The hirer shall not compromise any claim without express consent of the supplier. Bees knees marquees accepts no responsibility for injury or damage we do not supply Public Liability Insurance; it is your own responsibility
The hirer will make periodic checks to keep themselves acquainted with the state and condition of the equipment and ensure that it remains safe, serviceable and clean. Any breakdown or any unsatisfactory working of the equipment must be immediately notified to the supplier. Under no circumstances will the hirer repair or attempt to repair the equipment unless authorised by the supplier. The equipment must be returned to the supplier’s premises for examination except where examination elsewhere has been mutually agreed. If the equipment is involved in any accident resulting in damage to the equipment or other property or injury to any person, the hirer will notify the supplier immediately. Toilets will be removed and replaced on a weekly basis usually on the day of original delivery ie delivered on a Monday cleaned every following Monday.
Force Majeure
Bees Knees Marquees does not accept responsibility for any failure or delay caused by circumstances beyond its control. While every effort will be made by Bees Knees Marquees to carry out any contract which has been made it is subject to cancellation or variation. Cancellation will be a consequent upon act of god, high wind, war, fire, flood, storm, ingress of snow, government regulation, or restrictions on the use of transport, fuel or power.
Marquees
Cancellation
The hirer may terminate the contract in writing at any time, however the deposit of 20% is non-refundable, and if more than 20% is paid then any moneys over 20% will be returned to the customer. Cancellation on Bees Knees Marquees behalf due to force majeure will result in return of the hirers deposit in full.
Payments
Deposits to reserve marquee/ equipment hire are payable by cash, cheque, postal order or paypal (via our deposit payment page on our website). Balance is payable on the day of erection by cash or a minimum of two weeks before erection by cheque to allow clearing time, These are the only methods of balance payments failing to clear the balance on day of erection will result in immediate marquee/equipment removal.

Change of equipment/Unused Equipment
If the hirer decides there is to be a change to the agreed equipment there is no verbal representations recognised, all to be put in writing. Marquees and equipment bookings are taken daily so to avoid disappointment let Bees Knees Marquees know any alterations asap. There will be no refund/credit for any equipment ordered that is returned unused.

Hirer’s responsibility

The hirer is responsible for the safe custody of the company’s equipment from completion of erection until dismantling.

The hirer should keep any part of the equipment that is a framed structure or tent completely closed and secure while not in use during the hire period.

The hirer should not enter the equipment while the company is erecting, they should not use any lighting, heating, cooking or any gas and electrical appliances without consent of Bees Knees Marquees.(in or in close proximity to the structure)

To notify Bees Knees Marquees on erection if equipment is believed to be damaged or incorrect.

To check the site prior to the arrival of Bees Knees Marquees and remove all animal fowl, rubbish, pots and garden furniture as this slows up erection.

All halogen flood lights in close proximity should be unplugged/disconnected or have the bulbs removed as often it is forgotten the marquee is erected and PVC will be damaged.
Damage to services/guttering/fascia
The hirer shall be responsible prior to the commencement of the hire period for indication on the site with ropes and other markers the position and route of underground services (if any). The company accepts no responsibility whatsoever for damage to the services in the event of failure of the hirer to adequately mark the site, the cost of repair being borne by the hirer. The quotation for lighting is made on the assumption that a suitable and sufficient power point is available within 15 meters of the marquee. Bees knees marquees are not responsible for the wind rubbing/marking /cracking guttering fascia and soffits of buildings or sheds.
Marquee Erection and Removal
Bees Knees Marquees reserves the right to erect, dismantle and remove the equipment from the site at its convenience. The hire charges do not include any repairs or making good that may be required to the site before or after the event. Bees Knees Marquees also accepts no responsibility for damage to artificial grass caused by the marquee standing on it.
Damage to equipment
With all broken/damaged chairs, tables and other hire equipment the customer bears the cost of the repair or purchase the item from us (at cost*)if damaged whilst on hire. Bees knees marquees accepts no responsibility for injury or damage for items such as chairs being broken due to misuse i.e. swinging, standing on or being put on uneven ground, bees knees marquees advise at time of quotation the best equipment for the venue and best location for the construction.*be aware our equipment is hire grade so replacement cost may not be the same as a supermarket product.
Damage to equipment by fire
Whilst as much equipment as possible is fire retardant some items may still become tarnished by cigarettes, as with physical damage to our equipment the hirer bears the cost of the repair or purchase the item from us at cost. Beware of flaming alcohol as this often causes the same damage cigarettes.
Moving/removal of equipment
There will be a £50 (per item) penalty for any removal or loosening of stakes/weights or straps holding down the marquee as removing these items for all reasons including cosmetic compromise the structure of the marquee, resulting in damage to the marquee fabrics ,frame and items such as stakes being incorrectly removed. This penalty is in place to discourage equipment being removed incorrectly as this always results in damage to the company’s equipment which therefore needs replacing to keep it safe.
